Plume-like Flow Structure

Visualization of a plume-like flow structure in a thermal convection flow. The streak surface, imbedded in the flow, is mapped with a texture that provides improved spatial perception of the surface, and hints at the direction of streaklines (left), and timelines (right) imbedded in the surface.
