I am an exchange student of Zhejiang University, China. I have dual B.S. degrees--- Electrical Engineering and Fiance. I am now focusing on the classification and optimization of data, signal and system. I am working with Professor Bernd Hamann in progressive visualization of large scale, high dimension datasets. What I am doing now is implementing algorithms with high efficiency and precise approximation of high dimension datasets using proper wavelet strategy. I chose wavelet because its time-frequency analysis property has very strong advantages of approximating data with little information lose. Our next step is to develop a intelligent client-server control and proper visualization strategies to represent the clusters of high dimension datasets efficiently.
