Creative
writing of short stories, both fiction and non-fiction, is something I really
enjoy. I find that disappearing into writing a story can be as moving as any
real-world adventure. It is more subtle (and safer!), yet just as engaging. I
also find a strangely strong similarity between writing fiction and designing
computer software. The two seem to use the same parts of my brain and be very
complimentary. The following are samplings of stories written in the spring of
1996. You can find more recent non-fiction stories on my ski page.
